Our Story
Team Transmissions was founded in 1993 by Froilan Sosa, who built the business from the ground up doing something he loved while providing for his wife and two sons, Froilan Jr. and Jorge.
From the beginning, Froilan believed that knowing how to fix a transmission was only part of the job. How you treated people mattered just as much. Customers deserved an honest answer, a fair price, and work that was done right. That simple approach became the foundation of Team Transmissions.
The name "Team" was intentional. Froilan wanted the people who worked alongside him, and the customers who walked through the door to feel like they were part of something, not just another repair order. Many of those customers became longtime friends, and generations of families have trusted Team with their vehicles over the years.

Jorge grew up in this shop, learning the trade from his father Froilan. He took over Team Transmissions after Froilan retired and has carried on the same honest, customer-first approach that has defined the business since 1993.
Following in His Father's Footsteps
Of Froilan's two sons, his youngest, Jorge, took a special interest in the trade. He spent weekends and time after school at the shop, learning from his father one job at a time. Froilan taught him the technical side of the business, but also the discipline and values that came with it: work hard, be honest, help people when you can, and never sell someone something they don't need.
What started as a kid working alongside his father eventually became Jorge's own career and craft. When Froilan retired, Jorge took over Team Transmissions and continued the business with the same customer-first approach his father established more than three decades ago.
Today, Jorge continues to be hands-on with the work and with the people who bring their vehicles to the shop. Whether it's a major transmission repair or simply helping someone understand what's actually wrong with their vehicle, the goal is the same: give people a straight answer, do quality work, and treat them the way you'd want your own family treated.
More than 30 years later, Team Transmissions is still a family business, and everyone who walks through the door is treated like part of the Team.
